Brut rebranding advert

The goal of this task was to rebrand a Unilever product to a different audience, this meant that we had to research who the audience of certain brands were, for Brut the target audience was older men and was not very sought after by the younger audience so we decided to rebrand Brut for a younger audience by implementing sport and performance into an advert. We decided to create a sport advert as most younger people enjoy sport and use some sort of a deodorant after.

After we had finished the advert we decided to collect feedback from our target audience, we did this by handing out a questionnaire we made. The main points that where given from our feedback where that it made younger people want to buy the product due to the sport appeal, it suited the target audience very well and that the music was very fitting. I believe that the advert managed to get the message we wanted across and that it would have a positive impact on our audience. I believe that the technical aspects of our advert were well done as we used certain camera angles and editing to give certain effects, like using two scenes playing at once to create a feel of a memory, also the sound cold have been used a lot more effectively if we had more time I would have produced some more appropriate music and even some sound effects. I believe the effects of persuasion we used where effective, the effects we used were making it seem that Brut makes you play better, and a message at the end saying Brut is made for champions.
I believe that the advert is very fitting for its purpose as it looks professional with lots of editing and follows all the advertising regulations, it also is very good at communicating with the audience as we used younger actors.
